Ken Schutten is the Media/Communications Specialist for the McDonald County School District.
Prior to this position, Schutten and his family-owned and operated an insurance agency in Anderson - Royce-Schutten Insurance - for almost 25 years. He also has experience in television journalism and previously worked as a news reporter and anchor at KODE-TV in Joplin and OETA-TV in Tulsa, OK. Besides journalism and insurance sales, Schutten also served as an Account Executive in the marketing department at Freeman Health System in Joplin.
Over the years, Schutten has been deeply involved in community affairs in McDonald County including being one of the founding members of the Anderson Betterment Club. He has also served on many boards and committees throughout the county.
Schutten and his wife Julie, son Griffin, and daughter Janie live in Anderson, MO.
